Strategy
Making striped and wrapped candies is a bit harder here as the middle of the board is almost off limits for making anything with the lack of space, so you are probably going to have to aim to drop your wrapped and striped candies down in the bottom corners, but keep your eye on the chocolate situation to make sure you can eventually pull this off. Wrapped candies are a bit harder to make, so try to concentrate on them more.

Patricia Frederick’s Tips for Candy Crush Level 162

If the board isn’t giving you many striped or wrapped candies, match 2 striped candies together to shake up the board. If you can create a color bomb, match that with a color to remove it from the board—that should make creating the specials you need easier.

Laura Mayer’s Tips for Candy Crush Level 162

162 is is best played on facebook because you need 10 stripped candies and 3 wrapped ones. If you play this level on your phone you need two stripped and wrapped candies together. The hard part is the chocolate!

I won in 7 games using the advice to work from the bottom. I made one wrapped candy and the game gave me the other one!

I am ready to give up and find another game this is impossible, you get a wrap and while trying to get a stripe, it boms out Or the choc takes over just taken the fun out of the game. I’ll give it another few days then it will be deleted.

Did you try to utilize Matt’s or Pat’s Tips?

Don’t play on mobile device, it gives you more colors to work with.

This level frustrated me. Then I read these tips, and the one Lynda suggested helped me most. I worked towards the bottom of the board. Within a few tries, I passed the level. I did not have to try to make only striped candy. Taking my time, I found ways to make wrapped candies. Miraculously, or maybe due to skill, I was able to make 2 matches and pass. I’m the kind of player who tries to complete each level fast, and I don’t want to pay much attention to what I’m doing. I do this about every level, over and over until I get very frustrated and look up tips. Then I slow down and pay attention to what I’m doing and eventually pass. At least to this point. Just my own quirky approach to the game.

Agreed, both this and previous level a numbers game. U must need to hit a lucky combo in the first 5 moves or start again, and again….
